Barsz Gowie Amon & Fultz co-founder Michael I. Amon has over 40 years of public accounting experience.
As the firm’s Audit Partner, he is responsible for the firm’s compliance with the AICPA Peer Review Program. His audit expertise includes for profit and not for profit entities, government, single audit and yellow book audits. Other areas of expertise include individual and business income tax return preparation and tax planning, and consulting to businesses, not-for-profits and governmental entities on internal control issues. He serves and has served as an Executor of decedents’ estates.
A graduate of Drexel University with a Master’s in Taxation from Widener University, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. He and the Firm are members of the AICPA’s Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS) and Governmental Audit Quality Center (GAQC).
Mr. Amon currently is a member of the Virtua Foundation Gift Planning Advisory Council. He has served as Past President, Treasurer and Board Member of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Philadelphia and Southeastern Pennsylvania, as the Treasurer and Board Member of the Cherry Valley Swim Club and as the Treasurer and Board Member of Elm Lifelines, Inc., a New Jersey non-profit organization.
