ShareFile Activation and Access Instructions

Here at Barsz Gowie Amon & Fultz, LLC, the security and privacy of your financial information is our top priority. Therefore, we will not open pdf attachments that you email to us.  Instead, we encourage you to upload your documents to our portal which keeps your data safe and secure. The instructions below detail the activation and access instructions needed to get to our portal.

We use ShareFile to send and receive files. ShareFile is a secure file sharing service that allows our team to safely send and receive sensitive documents such as tax returns, work papers, and payroll files.

You will soon receive an email that you have been added to a ShareFile account. To start using ShareFile, click the activation link in that email.

When you click “Activate Account,” you will be directed to the ShareFile login page. The login page will ask you to confirm your name. After you have done so, click “Continue” and create a secure password.

Once you have successfully activated your account, you will be automatically directed to your ShareFile account. From here, you will be able to see any documents sent to you.

To send documents through ShareFile, choose the “Folders” option on the left of the screen.

You can either drag and drop or browse to select your files directly from your computer to your “Shared Folders.”. The documents you add to your shared folder will be accessible to your accounting team at Barsz Gowie Amon & Fultz.

When your accounting team uploads documents to your folder, you will receive an email that prompts you to log in to your ShareFile account. The email takes you directly to your ShareFile inbox, where you can review the documents. These documents will also be available to view under your “Shared Folders.”
