Media, PA (February 2, 2023) – Barsz Gowie Amon & Fultz (BGA&F), a full-service accounting firm with offices in Delaware and Chester counties, partnered with Cards For Hospitalized Kids (CFHK) and Keystone Development + Investment Group to make Valentine’s Day cards for sick children.
CFHK is an organization that provides cards to children’s hospitals and Ronald McDonald House Charities across the country to spread hope and joy through cards. The organization was started in 2011 by Jen Rubino, who spent much of her childhood in the hospital. After undergoing a complicated surgery, she received a card from a hospital volunteer that lifted her spirits. Rubino wanted to provide that same happiness to other children. Since its founding, CFHK has collected over 500,000 cards, including those from celebrities and professional athletes.
“It’s exciting to see our staff come together, during the busiest season of the year, to put a smile on a child’s face,” said William (Bill) B. Gowie Jr., CPA, MT, Managing Partner.
Over 30 staffers participated in the event, making over 100 personalized cards. Keystone Investment Group, where BGA&F rents their Media office, collected and mailed the cards for businesses within their Rose Tree campus that wanted to participate.
