MEDIA, PA (December 27, 2023) – Barsz Gowie Amon & Fultz (BGA&F) announces the retirement of Co-Managing Partner Michael I. Amon, CPA, CGMA, effective December 31, 2023. With a distinguished career spanning over 45 years in public accounting, Michael has been a cornerstone of BGA&F, guiding the firm through significant milestones and growth.

Michael’s career began as an intern at Merves & Company in 1976, culminating in a partnership in 1982. His expertise in audit, tax preparation, consulting, and estate execution has been instrumental in shaping our firm’s success. Notably, Michael’s leadership in compliance with the AICPA Peer Review Program and his role as a mentor to our staff have left an indelible mark on our organization.

While stepping down from his leadership role, Michael will continue to work with the firm as a part-time consultant until the end of April 2024. This transition period underscores his unwavering commitment to the firm’s future and his desire to ensure a seamless handover.

Michael’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University and a master’s in taxation from Widener University. His professional journey is a testament to his dedication and passion for the accounting field.
