Charlie began his career in 1978 as a junior accountant at William E. Howe & Co. (now Barsz Gowie Amon & Fultz) shortly after graduating from Shippensburg State College with his bachelor’s degree.

Charlie has been in the field of public accounting for over 46 years.  He credits much of his success to the knowledge and experience he gained from being mentored by Charles Bowes, Jack Hart and Ron Morse, all former partners at William E. Howe & Co.  In 1988, Charlie was promoted to Manager and in 1994, he was made a Partner.

Over his career, Charlie has worked with business, non-profit, and individual clients in various industries, from real estate to hospitality. He has developed a specialty in working with manufacturing and construction companies. Charlie has been involved with budgeting, tax planning, projections, business consulting, tax preparation, and compliance. He is also an expert in tax planning, estate planning, and retirement planning and has been engaged to prepare estate and inheritance tax returns.

Charlie is most proud of his relationships with his clients and their families, many of which have spanned decades and generations.
