In 2017, William B. Gowie of Steger Gowie & Company and Michael I. Amon of Merves Amon & Barsz – two respected accounting firms with personal commitments to client service – teamed up to form Barsz Gowie Amon & Fultz. 

Steger Gowie & Company specialized in business accounting. They were expert consultants in tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, leadership transitions, and purchases and sales of properties. They worked with clients from the inception of their business through their growth. 

Merves Amon & Barsz specialized in auditing, consulting, and tax compliance. They developed a strong knowledge of municipal accounting, state and federal campaign finance, and tax law. They had subject matter experts on staff, as well as generalists with expertise across disciplines. Merves Amon & Barsz serviced clients ranging from government entities to individual estates to small businesses. 

As co-managing partners, Gowie & Amon combined their 60 years of accounting experience in the Delaware and Chester County areas to provide clients with a robust and diversified range of auditing, accounting, and tax services. With offices in Media and Chadds Ford, Barsz Gowie Amon & Fultz serves Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Lancaster Counties, as well as Philadelphia, Harrisburg, and parts of Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland and Washington, D.C.
