Media, PA (February 13, 2025) – Barsz Gowie Amon & Fultz (BGA&F), a full-service accounting firm based in Media, Delaware County, is pleased to announce that partner Peter R. Barsz, CPA, CGMA, has been reappointed to the Legislative Audit Advisory Commission (LAAC) at the recommendation of Pennsylvania Speaker of the House Joanna McClinton.

The bipartisan Commission serves as the audit committee for both the Pennsylvania House and Senate and is required by Article VIII, Section 10 of the Pennsylvania Constitution. It is responsible for approving the engagement of the legislature’s independent auditors and reviewing annual audits conducted in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.

Chaired by Representative Benjamin V. Sanchez, the Commission is comprised of eight members, only two of whom are public members appointed by the Speaker of the House. Barsz has now been appointed five times—twice by former Speaker Mike Turzai, twice by Speaker Bryan Cutler, and now by Speaker Joanna McClinton.

Barsz oversees the municipal services division at BGA&F, which provides bookkeeping, accounting, financial consulting, and real estate tax collection services to cities, townships, and boroughs throughout Pennsylvania.
