Media, PA (November 30, 2022) – Barsz Gowie Amon & Fultz (BGA&F), a full-service accounting firm based in Delaware County, has announced that partner Peter R. Barsz, CPA, CGMA, was reappointed to the Legislative Audit Advisory Commission by Pennsylvania Speaker of the House, Bryan Cutler.
The bi-partisan Commission serves as the audit committee for both the Pennsylvania House and Pennsylvania Senate and is required by Article VIII, Section 10 of the Constitution of Pennsylvania. Audits are conducted in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
Chaired by Representative George Dunbar, the Commission comprises eight members – only two public members are appointed by the Speaker of the House. Barsz has been appointed four times, twice by former Speaker Mike Turzai and twice by Speaker Bryan Cutler.
“I am honored that Speaker Cutler has reappointed me to the Commission. It is a responsibility I take seriously. I consistently show objectivity, fairness, and integrity in everything I review. I look forward to working with the rest of the Commission to ensure sound judgment this session and beyond,” said Barsz.
Barsz oversees the firm’s municipal services division of the firm. They provide bookkeeping,
accounting, financial consulting, and real estate tax collection support services to cities, townships, and boroughs across the Delaware Valley.
